VITAE is a response to a call for submissions by the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ). The BOJ requested an overall brand image to be used for their upcoming central bank digital currency. Their goal was to have a representative brand that signifies a new branch of the BOJ that embodies the use of technology and is uniquely Jamaican.

"VITAE" is a nod to the national flower of Jamaica, the lignum vitae. "Vitae" is Latin for "the course of life." VITAE represents the essence of Jamaican culture and iconography, along with a powerful Latin phrase.
